Born in Haiti where african rhythms are melded flawlessly with european and native island sounds,Jean Eddy Laborde lives his life surrounded by music.A love of jazz and bossa nova influences his warm and soulful style .A talented guitarist/bassist and a mesmerizing vocalist with a lilting island accent,his repertoire consists of an eclectic mix of originals,caribbean,jazz classics and bossa nova tunes.He is accompanied by William (Bill) Effingham ,a jazz influenced guitarist whose style is rhythmic and flowing,refined and raw,metling the urban edge of New York City with the rhythms of Latin America and the soul of the blues.Louie Simon rounds out the trio on the drums and specializes in jazz,funk and african and caribbean rhythms and has studied and played drums for over three decades collaborating with numerous Grammy winning and nominated musicians.Their performance is one not to miss.
