The Northwest is an alternative indie rock band. Their sound is composed of shearing/melodic guitar, driving bass lines, enveloping synth sounds, dance-able drum beats, and baritone vocals.

After several changes with their line-up and sound, The Northwest have established themselves as an underground indie rock band. Hailing from the central part of Florida, they have been performing in small pubs and local venues. Their members include Derek Luna, Dylan Buckley, Pete Bell, and Cameron Luna.
