Constructed in 1924, The Birchwood is listed in the National Registry of Historic Places. Today it has 18 hotel rooms and provides a special place to stay on St Pete's waterfront district. One of The Birchwood's more notable features is the 12x24 foot mural of a birch forest on the southern exterior wall.
