The Atlantic Recreation Center is a recreation facility open year round on Amelia Island and includes a fitness center, playground, nature center pavilion, two swimming pools, sprinkler park, large parking lot and bathrooms.

The main pool is 25 yards long and heated to 85-86 degrees throughout the cooler months, while the kiddie pool is open only during the warmer months (March – October). In addition to public swim and lap swim options, Aqua Aerobics classes, swim clinics, and private swimming lessons are offered year-round (depending on instructor availability).

A Pool Lift is available to wheelchair-bound individuals for pool accessibility (weight limit of 350lbs). The Atlantic Center main pool is used in the evenings by local swim teams for year-round training and is available to the general public for rental during non-programmed hours (rentals available during public swim hours or when pool is closed to the public. Scuba diving certification classes, lifeguard and swimming instructor certification classes and more may be offered throughout the year.
