Hi! My name is James Hawkins. I'm a singer/songwriter living in the Venice area. Now I have been a resident of the Sarasota/Venice are for about 35 years.

So far I have recorded 4 CD's and I'm always writing so I guess, if and when I find the cash, I'll be able to record another. After being active in the Friends of Florida Folk organization I have had the privilege to has performed at the Florida Folk Festival, Will McLean Folk Festival, Barberville Folk & Arts Festival, The Annual Spring Frolic in Barberville, and The Sarasota Folk & Acoustic Music Festival. So as you see I've been a busy humaniod ;^D
As of lately I have been working with a new project. Turn Back Time is a trio of myself, carolyn Dunn on Bass, and Jim Dunn on Guitar/Banjo and Technical stuff. Together we're called "Turn Back Time". TBT has put together two programs. The first deasls with Florida History through stories and songs. The second program brings traditional Folk music and stories to the classroom. Both of these programs target the 4th & 5th grades.
