Ballroom, Blues, Classic Rock, Country
Let me introduce you to a musical Duo whose tenure in the business has refined their talents to encompass the very meaning of excitement, charisma, vibrancy, stage persona, showmanship, versatility and the ultimate in professionalism! My wife and I perform as a Duo, we offer outstanding, unparalleled dance music & entertainment of the highest quality at an extremely affordable price! We have spent the past 15 years honing our act specifically for the small restaurant environment. Prior to moving to Island Estates from Ocean City Maryland, we owned/operated/entertained at a very successful full service "Musical Theme" restaurant-night club (Cool Cats Cove) with our target customer being the baby boomer generation.
Our focus is to be completely versatile in terms of the various styles of music. Doo Wop should have all of the really great vocal harmonies, Disco should have that heavy Bass Drum back beat, Motown should have that "soulful" feeling, Classic Rock should feature blazing guitar and that "B3" organ sound, Big Band Swing should have all of the sizzling brass and sweet sax parts. Smooth Jazz should include those percussive piano licks, therythmic slap of the bass and those Fat guitar chords. Country selections should make the crowd let out a Ye ha and make them want to jump up and show off their line dancing skills!
We have a uniqueness that is quite obvious when we entertain. The passion and love of what we are doing comes across and it?s quite infectious! Anyone who remembers 45 RPM records, a time when you could understand the lyrics to a song will find our act truly exciting. We provide our audiences with an image that conjures up fond memories of great music and good times, whether they remember drinking a stout Heffaveisen, great polka & waltz music, locking arms & singing at a local beer garden, or reminiscing about the "Jitterbug" contest at the Sewanee Ballroom, reflecting on the jukebox days at their favorite "burger joint", the Saturday night "Sock Hop" at the high school gym or being dazzled by all of the extraordinary lights at their favorite dance night club! Now your customers can rock, roll and remember to ?Rock Around The Clock?, ?Stupid Cupid?, ?All Shook Up?, "Run Around Sue", "Soul Man", "My Girl", "Stop In The Name Of Love" and great Classic Rock hits like "Sweet Home Alabama". They'll start to tap their feet and they won?t be able to resist the urge to get up and dance! If they are into some real funky music, then watch them raise their hands in the air, stomp their feet and boogie to ?Play That Funky Music White Boy?, ?Brick House?, ?La Freak?, ?Love Train?, PARTY, PARTY, PARTY,...Of course they'll be able to squeeze their favorite person real tight as they sway to favorites like "Daddy's Home", "3 Times A Lady" and "At This Moment"! If it's ballroom dancing, say a Cha-Cha, Rumba, Samba, a great waltz, the polka or great Swing tunes like ?In The Mood? from Glenn Miller, "Everybody Loves Somebody" from Dean Martin, ?New York, New York?, from Frank Sinatra and many other Great American Songbook Standards. If it's Smooth Jazz you're looking for then check out "My Girl Linda" from Spyro Gyro, "Breezin'" from George Benson, "You Make Me Smile" from Dave Koz along with selections from the Rippingtons, Dave Grusen, David Sanborne and many others.
