The Papa Schmitz Band plays a wide variety of favorites including a lot of Grateful Dead and other country flavored rock, classic rock, reggae, bluegrass, and island music. From outdoor festivals and special events, to clubs, restaurants and coffee houses, the Papa Schmitz Band continues to please audiences everywhere, playing a mix of very dance-able and easy to listen to popular music.

The Papa Schmitz band currently consists of "Papa" Dave Schmitz on Guitar and vocals, Dennis Pitsch on 6 string bass, and Larry Garren on drums. Also in the mix when schedules allow are Marty "Saturated Fats" Kossoff on guitar and vocals and Jerry Sparkman on Dobro.
