Southern Express has performed in many venues in the Tampa Bay area including Busch Gardens, Joyland, Local Television, and many of the Fair’s and Festivals that our area hosts, just to name a few. One of our proudest moments was being asked to perform for Governor Jeb Bush during his campaign here in Saint Petersburg. We also contribute many hours to local charities such as All Children’s Hospital, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and the Ronald McDonald house. We are based in Saint Petersburg and strive to do all we can to both promote the bay area and its commerce, as well as assist with its needs.

Our sound is a unique blend of Contemporary Country, Southern Rock and Rockabilly. We consider ourselves performers rather than musicians, as we not only play music but also put on a show that gives off a level of energy that keeps our fans returning. We are able to achieve this sound by introducing Dynamics and Drive into our performances rather than Volume. There is an art to keeping the sound levels reasonable and still get the excitement across that has made Southern Express the most respected band in Tampa Bay.
