Standing 8 Count was formed in the early 90's by Mike Peters, Daryll King and Shannon Garmon and has, in one configuration or another, been pleasing Tampa Bay audiences ever since. The latest version of the band incorporates one of Tampa Bay's hottest drummers, Dave Alves, and Keyboardist extraordinaire Julius James.

Their combined influences have expanded the band's musical range and inspired the creation of new pieces, as the band continues to explore the genre. In recent months Dave Marcial has joined the group and spices up our sound with his percussive talents, and rounds out the rhythm section.
