The Shawn Rounds Band OLD 11-2-14

Shaun Rounds has been playing out since the age of 14. After playing high school football games, Shaun's father would bring him to jam nights late into the night. Shaun played for years with Orlando's popular "The House Shakers." In 2000, Shaun moved to Savannah and formed "The Girls Go Wild Blues Band" with Louisiana's Evan Waller. In Georgia, Shaun could often be found playing or hosting jam nights at Eric Culberson's "Savannah Blues." In Savannah, Creative Loafing Magazine named Shaun, "The best new blues act to come out of Savannah." Over the years Shaun has had the pleasure to share the stage with Jimmie Vaughan, Double Trouble, Sean Costello, Eric Culberson, Lester Chambers, Damon Fowler and Miss Brenda White twice as her guitarist at The Monterey Blues Festival in California. This July Shaun opened for Chris Duarte at The Plaza Theatre in Orlando. Today, The Shaun Rounds Blues Band is a power trio. Shaun's drummer, Ronnie "Byrd" Foster, originally from Pittsburgh, toured with Roy Buchanan. Later Ronnie moved to Florida where he became the session drummer for King Snake Records in Sanford. This November, Shaun had the honor of being voted "Peoples Choice Best Blues Band in Central Florida" at the OBBS IBC Challenge Competition.
