Derek Allen Whisman
An aspiring songwriter who grew up in Sarasota, Florida. He is a graduate of Riverview High School and alumni of the Berklee College of Music. Upon entrance to Berklee College of Music,Derek received a scholarship in songwriting and is currently collaborating with multiple songwriting professors.

Derek has been playing music since he was 11 years old when he was first inspired by the songwriting of Billy Joel. He has had the opportunity of privately performing for Vince Gill, as well as performing at Toby Keith's "I Love this Bar" in Foxborough, Massachusetts.

Derek's single "Myakka Cracker" is currently playing on iHeartRadio, Clear channel, and had airtime on local country music stations in South Florida.

He currently lives in Sarasota, Florida where he performs with his new band; The Derek Allen Band.
